Daily routine U3 group
In a group with U3 children, the difference compared to a regular group with children from three to six years is very clear. It is our task to organize the daily routine of "the little ones" very flexibly on the one hand and to establish fixed rituals on the other, which offer the younger children in particular a safe and familiar environment.
7:00 - 9:00 a.m.: Bringing phase
- The children are brought in
- Greeting/short door-to-door talk
- Saying goodbye to parents
- Arrival in the group
1st free play phase
- Self-selected play, the children pursue their interests and needs
- Reading picture books, painting at the painting table, small role plays in the doll corner, building on the construction carpet and much more.
9.00 a.m.: Breakfast together
- Start with a ritual -> the singing bowl sounds and we sing a song together.
- Each child gets his or her bag and we sit down at the table.
- Breakfast is embedded in a prayer and begins with a common ritual (table finger game)
- At the end each child covers his or her dishes independently
2. free play phase
- Children continue their free play and are accompanied by us.
- Giving space to watch, explore undisturbed and withdraw
- Giving time to learn through observation and imitation
- This time also includes an individual diaper changing phase for the children.
Morning circle
- After the singing bowl has been struck, all children clean up.
- Meeting in the circle
- Singing of a welcome song
- Finger games, songs and circle games are chosen by the children themselves (participation).
- A conversation, a story bag or looking at a picture book together can also be the content of a morning circle.
- Ending the circle with a farewell song/verse
Impulses (guided activities)
- These offers are prepared by us according to the needs of the children.
- These include, creative offers, movement offers, perception offers in our paddling pool, musical offers etc.
- We offer different everyday materials (sponges, corks...) for the exercise of daily life.
- Materials for hand-eye coordination, for language, for constructive and for role play complete the offer.
11.15 a.m.: Lunch together in the kitchen
- As a ritual we say/sing a finger play and the grace together.
- All children eat the food they have ordered or brought from home.
12.00 p.m.: Sleep and rest phase
- The nap time is arranged individually according to the children's habits.
- Sleep rituals adapted to the child are taken into account.
- We give the children enough time to rest and wake up in order to start the day again.
13.45: Afternoon activities
- A small afternoon snack from the backpack
- Free play
Group consolidation from 15.00.
